Abstract

This study aims to describe thinking skills in Indonesian Language Learning Textbook class X Curriculum 2013. The thinking skills in this study are oriented towards revising Bloom's learning taxonomy which divides thinking skills into two domains, namely Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The data in this study are in the form of text learning objectives written in Indonesian textbooks. The data is sourced from two revised editions of Indonesian textbooks, namely the 2014 revision and the 2017 revision. The data analysis method used in this study is referential matching and mapping of educational objectives based on the revised Bloom's taxonomy. The integration of thinking skills in Indonesian textbooks is manifested in the cognitive and knowledge dimensions. The cognitive dimension is dominated by the level of creation (C6) accumulated from two revised books. The knowledge dimension is dominated by conceptual knowledge. Based on this dominance, it can be concluded that the primary outcome of learning Indonesian is text creation. The text created is constructed from the concepts of text knowledge obtained in the learning process.

Abstract

The Turkish language is one of the languages which people nowadays learn. The Turkish language belongs to agglutinative language with a slight border between words and their morpheme, yet it has a clear border amongst the morphemes. There is a vowel harmony in the Turkish language where the sound of the last vowel of the stem affects the vowel’s sound of the attached suffixes. The existence of the vowel harmony triggers the change of the sound of the attached morphemes which their function is as suffixes. This study analyzes the morphophonemic process of Turkish verbs using the Word and Paradigm approach. The data of this study are the oral data of Turkish verbs got from the social media of YouTube. The data are collected by observing and noting. The morphophonemic process affected by the change of the sound is later analyzed using the padan method and Word and Paradigm or WP approach from the data collection. Through the approach, the word-formation rules are made for later, the effectiveness of the Word and Paradigm approach is studied in the morphophonemic analysis of Turkish verbs. The results show that there are different kinds of word-formation, and the WP approach effectively analyses Turkish verbs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to formulate a redefinition of vocabulary related to language wars. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model consisting of three analysis components: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The activities of the three components are carried out in an interactive form with the data collection process. The rise of legal cases related to language is in line with the increasingly massive use of social media in society. These cases are part of the language war. Society, in general, is still common and even misunderstands related speech that is categorized as language war and has the potential to be caught in the law. Language war is the use of the language of a speaker/writer intentionally as a tool/weapon for self or group interests. Language wars are carried out directly or indirectly that attack the ideas, thoughts, behaviour, honour, or physical condition of a person or group of speech partners. Language wars include suggestions, criticism, ridicule, incitement, defamation, insults, and slander. More detailed definitions and socialization efforts to the public regarding various language criteria are preventive measures for various legal cases related to language.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the tragic worldview in the legend of Wadu Ntanda Rahi. This research is field research. The data of this research is the legend of Wadu Ntanda Rahi, the version of the people who live in the coastal part of Bima. The informants are the Bima Tribe, who was born, settled, and have lived in Bima City and know the legend of Wadu Ntanda Rahi. This study's data collection techniques were interviews and documentation using oral literature documentation forms, transcription, and translation. According to Goldmann, data analysis was carried out using a tragic world analysis model on the legend of Wadu Ntanda Rahi. The results show that in the legend of Wadu Ntanda Rahi, there is a tragic fate experienced by the two main characters in the story, namely La Nggusu (husband) and La Nggini (wife). La Nggusu suffered a tragic fate because he migrated who never returned to his hometown. La Nggusu's departure as a husband made La Nggini's life be lived alone. La Nggini often gets tragic things in her life. Her husband's departure was the beginning of La Nggini's tragedy, followed by the death of her closest family, which made her even more alone, until in the end, she hoped to become immortal, namely to become a stone. La Nggini's suffering is the result of the absence of God, the silent world, and the result of tragic human traits that demand the impossible.
